Shiv Nadar University student Mohit Bhatt prepares for Asian Junior Squash Championship

Mohit Bhatt, a student of BMS’25, currently ranked no.1 in India (Under-19 boys) category, is getting ready to compete at the Asian Junior Squash Championship being held in Thailand from 15 June 2022. He is being coached by Rahul Vasistha as he undergoes a rigorous training schedule.

During an interview with The Hindu, Mohit explained his journey and how he has been keeping up with his practice & training regimen, while also managing his academic responsibilities.

In fact, Squash didn’t come as a natural choice for Mohit. After trying his hand at Football, Karate and Skating, he finally fell in love with this demanding sport, and now looks forward to a rewarding squash career with the guidance and support of his coach.

Having groomed young sports prodigies like Anjali Semwal (Squash) and Unnati Bisht (Badminton), Shiv Nadar University, Delhi NCR, prides itself on its Sports Program which is designed to serve student interest in different sports and recreational activities. As part of the program, the University also offers a special Sports Scholarship to students who’ve displayed potential to excel in sports like Chess, Tennis, Badminton, Squash and Table Tennis, basis the fulfilment of certain internal criteria.
