The Department of Computer Science and Engineering invites you to a seminar titled ‘Even the Easiest(?) Graph Coloring Problem is not Easy in Streaming! by Prof. Arijit Bishnu, Professor at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. The Seminar is scheduled on Sep 20, 2023 (Wednesday)2:00 pm at C309.

Arijit Bishnu did his B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Regional Engineering College (currently National Institute of Technology), Durgapur and M. Tech. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. After a brief postdoctoral stint as an Associate at Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), Japan, he joined the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. After working there for three years, he moved to the Advanced Computing and Microelectronics Unit at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. Currently, he is a Professor there. His primary research interests are in algorithms and discrete mathematics with a focus on discrete geometry and model centric computation.
