Biomass conversion Laboratory

This lab is well equipped for thermochemical conversion of biomass and waste into bioenergy/biofuels in all the three forms; solid (Bio-char), liquid (Bio-oil), and gas (Syngas). The upgradation of raw biofuels into more useful energy forms is one of the key areas of the research. The lab has a fixed bed gasifier connected with GC along with many analyses set ups. Additionally, the research group works on wastewater treatment using the bio-adsorbents developed from the wastes in combination with other wastewater treatment such as coagulation, flocculation, electrochemical oxidation etc.
