Optical Microscopy Laboratory

The structure of a material at micron scale is related to optical, electrical, mechanical, chemical and thermal properties. Optical microscopy, an important investigative technique, is used to fetch crucial information about the surface of a material. Microstructural analysis using an optical microscope is complementary to other structural, physical and chemical characterization techniques. The Leica DM2700M microscope offers a high optical resolution to investigate fine structural aspects of sample surfaces.
