Dr Dipti Dubey, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, has been awarded a grant under Mathematical Research Impact Centric Support (MATRICS) scheme of the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, for her project titled "On Some Generalizations of Positive Semi-definite Matrices and the Linear Complementarity Problem." This research area is likely to have applications to block designs, data mining and clustering, a model of energy demand, exchangeable probability distributions, and in dynamical systems and control.
