Workshop on CRISPR/Cas9 Genome Editing at SNU, May 24-28 2018

Organized by: Department of Life Sciences, School of Natural Sciences

Event Date:
Thursday, 24 May 2018Monday, 28 May 2018

The Department of Life Sciences is organizing a 5-day residential, practical training workshop titled "CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing in model and non-model organisms from theory to the bench” from 24th to 28th May, 2018. The workshop will provide hands-on training in genome editing of mammalian cells as well as of infectious pathogens using the state-of-the-art CRISPR/Cas9 system. Participants will learn to develop a CRISPR/Cas project suitable to answering their research question, identify and design optimal CRISPR targets using bioinformatics tools, generation of gene knockouts, and validation of knockouts using the most current technologies. The registration deadline for the workshop is May 12, 2018. A preliminary schedule is available (see here), and will be updated shortly.

Ticket cost:
